How does rooftop solar work with BESCOM?
An on-grid system powers your home during the day and sends extra units to the grid. A net meter records both directions, so BESCOM bills you only for the difference. The installer helps you apply for net metering.
How big a system do I need, and how much roof?
It depends on your monthly units. As a rough guide, each kW makes about 4 units a day in Bangalore and needs about 100 sq.ft of shade-free roof. The installer sizes it from your electricity bill at the survey.
How long does it take?
Installation itself takes 1 to 3 days. BESCOM approval and fitting the net meter usually take a few weeks more.
Which solar water heater suits my home?
Size it at about 100 litres for 3 to 4 people. Evacuated tube (ETC) heaters cost less and cope better with hard borewell water; flat plate (FPC) heaters last longer with soft water. Either is installed in a day.

How are suppliers verified?
Every partner is checked for GST registration, business address, past work photos and customer references before they take on any work. Partners with poor ratings are removed.
